Pleasure through pain is a concept that interests me to no end. How does it happen that someone ends up enjoying pain so much that they can orgasm from experiencing it? Does it come from getting slapped around when growing up or is it that certain people are wired to enjoy different things and that's just how the world works? I'm not sure of the answer and that's fine by me because I don't have to understand it to enjoy. At a site like Pain Freaks there's plenty to enjoy as they abuse gorgeous women in a variety of ways with the central theme being pain, obviously. The site is part of an extensive network of fetish destinations with many of them focusing on bondage and pain and I'm working my way through them and doing reviews of the ones that look the most interesting. This certainly seems to be high on the list.

Pain Freaks looks like a wicked hot site where they care little for the women other than using them as vehicles for sadism. They're tied up, gagged, slapped, whipped, beaten, spanked and so much more. They look scared throughout the pictures and trailers I've seen on the tour and apparently they have a reason to be. I like that they use so many different kinds of bondage from ropes to devices to electrical wires. It's bound to be an exciting adventure through this site.

The most recent update to Pain Freaks is listed right at the top of the page but after doing a little bit of research on the site it appears as though they're fudging the dates. Four months ago the content count was the exact same that it is today even though they have listed sets as being added less than a month ago and they're teasing a set to be added soon. Either they're taking content off the back end and adding it as new or they're simply changing the dates. Either way it's shady and crappy of them.

The videos are listed over three pages and there's a picture representing each. On the download page they provide a short description and five screen captures but it's not often enough information to actually know what goes on in the scene. To know that you'll just have to download the movies. They've split most of the movies into smaller parts, ostensibly because it's easier to download them that way. I found it frustrating that they didn't have a full length clip available. I don't like downloading five parts of one film, especially if I'm going to keep it long term. The movies are QuickTime only and play at 468x312.

The photo galleries are displayed in the same way with a picture and a title representing each. You just have to click on the slut that you like the most and her gallery will load. Most of the pictures are roughly 1000px and while the resolution is good the quality is often not. A lot of the galleries look old like they were taken with a film camera and the translation to a digital file was not done very well.

The biggest issue I have with Pain Freaks is that the content doesn't seem high quality. It's hard to explain it exactly but the videos aren't as clear as they should be, the picture galleries aren't as gorgeous as they should be and the resolutions are lacking in almost every case. I get the feeling the content is purchased from a third party so they didn't have much control over it's quality. It doesn't make the site horrible but it will take just a little bit of your enjoyment away because it comes up short of what other sites in the bondage genre can provide.

Those other sites probably can't provide the variety that you'll find here though and that's what makes Pain Freaks ideal for the bondage fetishist that likes a little bit of everything. Some people only want to see rope bondage and some only want to see device bondage and some just want a good spanking. Here you get all of that and a whole lot more as they attempt to cast a wide net to arouse all bondage lovers. In one scene the master puts a paper bag over his slave's head and abuses her titties until she's quivering. In another the girl is put in a leash and her mouth is gagged while she's walked down a hallway and brought to a dungeon where her body can be abused as her master sees fit. In another a slut is bound to a table while her domme brings pain to every corner of her body and that's just the video content.

The pictures are a little bit different in that they rarely show the involvement of a male domme. Instead the girl is tied up and then he steps out so the picture can be taken (I presume). They have more than 330 galleries to go with the 40 movies and I like the images best. They represent all the classic bondage types with a little bit extra thrown in every now and then to keep you on your toes. It's exciting and arousing and it leaves me awfully exciting by the time I'm done browsing the galleries. I really like the ball gags they put on a lot of the girls, especially when drool starts to slip out of the slut's mouth. It speaks to her total lack of control as she makes a mess all over herself.

Pain Freaks is probably going to be a very satisfying site for anyone that likes to see girls in bondage and pain. They have picture galleries and videos where the ladies are wrapped up in rope and gagged and subjected to all sorts of inventive pain and pleasure. They're under control of the dominant men and they welcome all that comes with that. Members get to experience their pleasure and pain by downloading the movies and browsing the picture galleries but the presentation and the quality leaves something to be desired. QuickTime is the only movie format and they come in at a lower resolution than I'd like. The pictures never get bigger than 1000px and they too are lacking the quality that great sites put behind their content. Pain Freaks is an average site that's lifted to something better by the extensive network of bonus sites that focus on fetish content. With all that smut waiting to be accessed you really can't go wrong with a membership.

I abhor QuickTime movies because I abhor the QuickTime player. It seems like it should be great because it's much leaner than the Windows Media Player but I find that it's clunkier when fast forwarding and that it takes up more memory. Plus, whenever I use it I get that damn QuickTime thing in my system tray and I hate having more programs than necessary running.

The funky stuff with the updates is annoying because they're clearly trying to fool you into thinking that fresh content is coming down the pipeline. They're trying to trick you into sticking around for an extra month or two and I really hate it when sites do that. I wouldn't be surprised if this site hadn't been updated in years; they haven't had a new picture set in more than two.

Pain Freaks is not a great site and it never will be. I'd say that with all the bonus content it comes pretty damn close to great because you can't do much better than what they have in terms of volume. I just wish they had put a little more effort into the picture galleries and videos because there's obvious potential here.
