International Comix is truly something different and specialised. Forget all those Oriental drawings with strange creatures and men with bright red dicks, women with blue hair and nastily young looking babes in spaceships. (You might find some actually, but…) Here you have top quality artwork from nine European countries arranged in a site that is simple and easy to use. On top of this though you get access to several bonus sites and that really helps push up the value of your slightly pricy membership fee. You've got masses of toon work here and five big extras that are a mix of feeds, anime and animated videos and general ‘real-people’ porn.

Where this site differs from all the other comic and toon sites out there is that it specialises in European drawings. Checking through the menu in the members’ area I found contributions from England, France, Holland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia and Portugal. (And one that I thought was Greek but wasn’t.) The content is then arranged under those countries by alphabetical lists of artists, so you end up with a vast collection that is varied in look and story, and style of course, but which remains erotic and hardcore throughout. You are able to download images individually and you’re going to need a big storage space if you do; there is a huge stock of content in here.

Once inside the members’ area you will find it very straightforward. It’s not one of those toon sites where there are masses of teaming images all around the pages, making it hard to see the woods for the trees. It’s rather plain, red and blue with a lot of text on the home page. In fact you won’t find any images until you've clicked at least twice: once on the country and once again on the artist’s name.

In a way, the site is text led, which at first feels rather odd. But you soon adapt. The home page has a long list of text links to anime movies on a bonus site, but without upload dates, but it also has a note saying that updates are made daily. Which is very easy to believe when you see how much is here. Any site news is also posted here. Your left menu leads you to the various countries, and within these individual areas are long lists of artists names beneath which are their contributions. Select a gallery from the text list here and you come to another simple page. Each gallery is arranged in thumbnails so you click number one to open the full size image. There are simple navigation buttons here but no slideshows; that would be a really neat addition, so you could watch hands-free. Instead it’s a case of click and open, view and download and click on or back.

But navigation generally is easy, you always have a link back to home or you can use your back button, and I didn’t have any trouble with pages opening or closing. There are not many interactive features, no rates or comments, no voting or favourites area, nothing like that. And also there is not much information about the artists or the content itself. It’s purely about viewing and saving. But the main point is that the members’ area posses no problems and it all works well.

Expect to find all kinds of porn depicted in all styles of drawing in here. The country list brings you content from that region and the language of the text within these countries’ offerings will change according to where the content is from. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t read Russian or Spanish, a picture paints a thousand words, and although you do have speech bubbles and text within the drawings, these are comics after all, you won't need to read it all when you start viewing the pics.

The styles vary too of course, with so many artists contributing here that’s inevitable. There are simple black and whites, line drawings, then full colour hard drawings, computer art and all manner of styles in between. This means you've got a nice variation from page to page. And, if you know your favourite artist by name, you can search him or her out from country’s index page.

And as for the sex… Well, because there is so much here all I can say is that this too is varied. Let’s go Dutch: a huge, long page of titles I didn’t understand at all, not being able to speak Dutch. A click on one at random and I found bondage, BDSM, girls taking impossibly large cocks. A click on another and there was a young nurse in a 1950’s comic strip style. Heading for Spain and randomly clicking I found colourful pages in a very weird fantasy epic, black and white hardcore with smooth and lovely people and all kinds of erotica as well. And so it goes on. You've certainly got variety and you've got loads of content.

How much content? Well, give me a month to count it all and I’ll get back to you. I didn’t actually see a content count anywhere but if the site suddenly announced its millionth drawing, I’d believe it.

Return to your main page and look to the right and you find access to Gold Bonuses, some feed sites, and Porn Fat for real hardcore with real people and all kinds of sexy stuff going on. Then you can access 3D Sex Stories and the Anime Video Archive for more but moving toons and other horny erotica. You will need your access details to access these areas, so keep them handy. But these extras really do boost your value for money.

Pros:

• There is far too much content to count here; thousands of galleries and drawings, and comics.;
• The content is arranged by its European country of origin and is easy to find by title;
• This is not your normal, standard, Anime or Hentai site;
• The site is very easy to use and navigate;
• The quality of the offerings and the sizes of the pages are good.

Cons:

• I’d have liked more information about the artists and who created these comics and drawings;
• Some slideshow viewing options would be good to see;
• The site is not interactive, there is no way to get involved.

What you have here is a top notch, well put together stock of cartoon sex and drawings, comics and erotic art set out by country. The site has a very strange set up for an art site in that it is text led until you get to a gallery, you've got lots of lists and not much information (if any) about who created it, when it was added, or exactly where it comes from. But for collectors or erotica and hardcore art, International Comix is a place that you've got to see. Even for those of us who are not avid collectors but who like fantasy drawings to get off to, this is the prefect erotic art site to join.

When they say International… I was expecting more countries I guess. At the moment it is European comics that you see. Good stuff mind you, great quality, some well known names for those who know the known names, and loads of other drawings and artists I've never seen before. Not all exclusive, I've seen some of this content before I'm sure, but all good quality.

It would have been great to be able to share thoughts and comments with other members. I've joined Anime sites (probably all of them) and been able to join in a discussion forum but you can’t do that here. Guys like me who like to collect art like this also like to talk about it. Call me an anorak if you will, but that’s half the fun. Still, a good job guys, a great collection and it’s fantastic to see European Anime at its best.

That’s the best thing for me too: the fact that this site celebrates European artists. None of the stupid, whacky Oriental stuff as you say, no red hair and funny monsters. Well, there may be, I've been a member here for a couple of months and I've still not got to see everything. And that reminds me; a favourites area would also be a neat addition to what is already a wonderful art and sex site.
