There was a time when guys had to go to an adult movie theater to see pornography. They had to slink in with their heads down so no one would recognize them and they had to sit there with a bunch of other guys jerking off. When VHS debuted viewing porn got a lot easier since you could rent it. There was still an embarrassment factor but it was understood that the video clerk wouldn’t throw your name around town as a guy that likes to watch porn. You could always buy a porn video too and that way you wouldn’t have to see anyone when you wanted to watch it. DVDs mostly just made the viewing experience better and ensured that you wouldn’t have to buy a new copy very often since they last longer than VHS tapes. It was the internet that truly changed the way porn is viewed. Now you never have to leave your house to get off. You can just check out a site like Erotic Cinema.

Erotic Cinema is a big movie site. They have content of all shapes and sizes inside and they promise high definition videos for those that like a little more quality with their pornography. They also claim to be the world’s largest collection of adult movies, although we know that’s almost certainly not true. I don’t like it when they lie on the tour but it looks like this is going to be a good experience so I’m willing to let it slide. They have some very nice movies on the tour if you’d like to sample them along with the picture galleries.

On the member’s main page they have the most recent updates and if the log is correct then they’re adding something new several times a day. That would keep the site growing at an impressive clip since as of late you’re getting at least two new updates a day and sometimes as many as eight. On the left side of the page you’ll find your lifeline to all the content: the category list. There you have all the different types of pornography they’ve compiled and it’s a pretty sizable number of cats.

Once you’ve chosen your favorite type of porn you’ll see ten scenes listed per page. For each there are five small preview pictures, a runtime, the date the scene was added and it’s rating, if any. You can click to view a small gallery of screenshots and those are kind of like the trailer. I like using them to ensure that you’re seeing what you want, whether it be a blowjob or anal sex or something else entirely. To watch the movie you just have to click the link.

They have a Flash streaming version of the clip ready to go immediately. Just punch that left button and you’re looking at a hot scene. You can also stream it in Windows Media format, although I have no idea why you would do that. You’re free to download the videos at 640x480 and 1700kbps (or sometimes a lower and much less impressive 800kbps) or 320x240 and 600kbps. They have a separate section devoted to the high definition movies which are as promised: 1280x720 and 4200kbps.

Erotic Cinema is loaded with non-exclusive content. I can’t quite tell if it’s all stuff pulled from DVDs or if they’re just grabbing it from other sites the parent company runs. Either way you’re not paying for a big collection of fresh stuff and that’s a bit of a problem. They charge you $34.95/month for access and while that’s a pretty good deal for everything you’re getting there are DVD download sites with tons more content that charge $10 less a month for their membership. Sites like Erotic Cinema are often unaware of the competition when setting their prices or they simply don’t care.

This site stands apart from a DVD download site though and it’s worth considering why. Instead of having you sift through entire DVDs they have nothing but scenes so you don’t have to click three or four times just to see if the scene has what you want. Here you click the category – let’s say it’s cheerleaders – and then you pick the first scene that has sexy pictures. There are several thousand videos here – 350 of them are high definition – and they provide you with plenty of sexual pleasure in a whole mess of categories, which is why it’s probably worth the money if you’re looking for a good porn site with tons of content and you don’t like the way the DVD sites are organized.

Some of the categories at Erotica Cinema are as follows: amateurs, anal, big cocks, beach and pool, blondes, brunettes, Europeans, facials, housewives, mature and milfs, office, outdoors, teen, redheads, uniforms and big tits. The uniforms set is mostly naughty nurses so that’s not as hot as I was hoping it would be but for the most part they offer you a good selection of smutty scenes for your erotic entertainment. It’s far from a perfect site but they do have a good set of videos for download and they do provide you with hardcore pleasures and it’s a little easier to browse than a DVD site, although it’s not a great design.

Erotic Cinema is not, as they claim, the world’s largest collection of adult movies. That’s not much of an issue though. There are so many huge sites out there nowadays that the differences between them in terms of total content are relatively insignificant. What’s important is that this site offers you several thousand movies for download in a whole bunch of hot categories. They do all kinds of great porn with my favorite categories being cheerleaders, fetish & BDSM and facials. They also have 350 high definition videos, which few other big download sites can offer. The $35/month price tag is one reason not to consider the site though. That’s quite a hefty price to pay for what amounts to a slightly above average site.

I don’t really have a problem with Erotic Cinema, I just don’t think it’s worth $35. Why wouldn’t they charge $29.95/month? That’s a far more reasonable price and is much more likely to net them customers. They’re not offering value for what they’re charging right now and they should back it up a little.

If you only download the most recent additions then you’ll be fine. If you go back in time a little bit and find the older content you’ll see that the video quality needs a lot of help. They really have to bump that up a lot because right now it’s not serving people. They’re pretty much useless at 800kbps.

What were they thinking asking $34.95 for this site? If I’m going to pay that much I expect the highest quality everything. Across the board they have to be kicking ass. Here the design looks like it’s a dozen years old and some of the content is really creaky too. They need to step up with that stuff and make it better before I’m willing to keep paying that absurd fee.
